Visor cams are insane. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off being car sick for a while.

I always see these cool perspectives and all I can think is how much is must piss off the engineers that are slaving to save grams and then the networks come in and just plop cameras on their cars. I mean, I know there is more too it than that but you have to know the networks aren’t sweating the grams on those cameras.

Can’t say, it looks like there is a camera in the right wing mirror that’s not a gopro, and the 360 degree ones are definitely not.

Don’t they all required the cars to have room for cameras akin to Formula 1's rules, and cars that don’t run a camera just run a weight of the same mass in that area, if not all cars just get the same camera stuff. It’s factored into the weight of the car i’d guess.

yeah thats true, but if your job was to save grams, surely this must irk you a little.

For those of you lucky enough to not be American (sad days lately) you should know that the groundskeepers at baseball stadiums are artists and pure and loyal to their trade and spend an amazing amount of time cutting the grass in various directions and whatnot for very nifty visual effects. They work year round. Every day. Nurturing, caring, loving, and tending to the field as if it were a newborn. Their newborn.

Then, most fields, about 2-3 times a year someone shows up with a line of dump trucks and dump mud everywhere and create a motorcross track or monster truck events and absolutely rip the shit out of the field and then unceremoniously leave for the dickhead groundskeepers to sort out.

They must lose their minds.

Honestly I don’t understand how the drivers do it. I mean they clearly are from another planet, with a more advanced species. Or something.

You’d be surprised what the brain can get used to with practice. When you climb the racing ladder your first time in a faster car will feel like a rocket ship, but after a few days of testing (or less for the more experienced drivers) you get used to it and it feels normal.

In an F1 race at Abu Dabhi several years ago, Barrichello lost a winglet from contact with another car, and ended up going faster...

Not car related but John Deere has grass pattern-makers that get towed behind ride-on tractors. I guess cuz tires and vacuums caused by mower blades can really screw up your hard work at the stadiums. Even racetracks have grass patterns.

I’ve honestly never seen monster trucks/motocross at a baseball stadium, only in football stadium and big arenas that don’t have grass to begin with. But with football stadiums it’s a bit different because they usually re-sod the playing surface a few times a year anyways, so I would assume that they usually plan on doing that after the events come through, so it isn’t as much work.

This needs to be shown more as a part of their tv coverage,
